Newark, NJ - The Wolverines picked up a crucial victory against Region 19 foe Mercer County Community College, 90-76 on Saturday December 7th. Johnathan Quiles II led the Wolverines offense with 24 points, Jaidan Gilzene chipped in with 13 rebounds and Ethan Laquindanum with 7 assists. The Wolverines came out red hot shooting 63.6% and led 42-30 at the half, while Mercer attempted to mount a come back. Mercer scored 46 second half points but fell short, as the Wolverines stingy defense came up with key stops to pull out the victory.
The Wolverines defense forced its opponents to only shoot 46.9% for the game and turn the ball over 19 times.
