Advisement

The Office of Retention and Academic Advisement provides continuous support for all aspects of student-Center Advisement, including English-as-a-Second-Language students.

The Advisement Center serves as the primary liaison between the academic divisions and the Success Coaches who provide advisement and academic support to all students.

WHO SHOULD COME IN FOR ADVISEMENT?

(As of March 23, 2020-call or e-mail)

• All Essex County College new students after having completed an application and the placement exam (or were waived)
• A new student that needs to register for their 1^st semester at Essex County College
• A readmit student

While students are urged to keep parents informed of plans and their progress, the advising relationship basically takes place with the student and advisor only.
