Wolverines Drop Tough Loss to Middlesex

Newark, NJ - The Wolverines dropped a tough loss to Middlesex College, 65-57 on Tuesday night at the Cleo Hill Gym. Essex trailed by ten points at halftime and even a stellar defensive half could not bring them the victory. With the game tied with two minutes to go, Middlesex was the team to come up with key defensive stops and hit key buckets to win the game. The Wolverines were led by Shane Cedres 12 points and 3 rebounds, Jaidan Gilzene with 11 points and 10 rebounds, amd Ethan Lanquindanum with 11 points and 4 assists.

The Wolverines defense held opponents to only 38.7% shooting from the field, but only shot 37% themselves.

The Wolverines (2-6) next travel to Camden to play Thursday night at 7pm, before also traveling to Mercer on Saturday at 2pm for a two game road trip.
