Seven Lady Wolverines Conclude Successful Weekend

Newark, NJ - The Lady Wolverines had an impressive weekend in track and field, qualifying seven athletes for the finals of the 49th annual Women's Colgate Games, to be held on February 1, 2025. All seven athletes have the opportunity to earn educational scholarships, with each ranking in the top 3 in their respective events. The top 6 athletes advance to the finals.

 Results:

- Kimberly Baker - 400 meters, 3rd place, 56.93

- Kadina Deeble - 55H meters, 3rd place, 8.92

- Serena Douglas - 1500 meters, 2nd place, 5:08

- Shermalee Freeman - 400 meters, 2nd place, 58.76

- Ashia Martin - 55 meters, 2nd place, 7.45

- Aalyaha Morgan - 55 meters, 3rd place, 7.63

- Paula Orusede - 55H meters, 2nd place, 8.57

- Ma-Avian Williams - 55H meters, 6th place, 10.99

The Colgate Women's Games is the largest amateur track and field series in the United States, open to young women from elementary school through college and beyond. Participants compete in a series of preliminary events, culminating in the finals, where top performers earn educational scholarships from Colgate-Palmolive Company.
