Lady Wolverines Running Strong

Newark, NJ - The Lady Wolverines are making waves in the track and field scene, advancing to the semi-finals of the 49th Women's Colgate Games in the Armory Track & Field complex, in NY. All eight team members qualified in their individual events and will compete at the track and field complex on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

 Serrena Douglas led the pack, qualifying in the 1500 meters with an impressive time of 5:22.69. Other standout performances included:

- *55 Meters*: Ashisa Martin (7.59) and Aaliyaha Morgan (7.72)

- *55H*: Paula Onusede (9.02), MaAvian Williams (9.04), and Kadina Deeble (9.20)

- *400 Meters*: Shemalee Freeman (1:02.68) and Kimberly Baker (1:02.65)

The top six athletes in each event will qualify for the finals, scheduled to take place on February 8, 2025. The Colgate Women's Games is the largest amateur track and field series in the United States, open to young women from elementary school to college and beyond.
