Lady Wolverines Advance To Region 19 Final

Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Women's Soccer Team advanced to the Region 19 final, by beating Lackawanna College Thursday night by a score of 4-2. Freshmen Ilana Lashley scored four goals for the Wolverines attack, while goalkeeper Marie Telusma had four saves in goal. The game was a back n forth event with both teams scoring two goals apiece in the first half, until the Wolverines answered with two second half goals to take the lead. Freshmen Ilana Lashley now has fifteen goals for the year.

Sophomore Nisrine Taalba chipped in with two assists. The lady Wolverines finished with seventeen shots on goal for the game. 

The Wolverines (5-6-1) return to action on Saturday Nov. 2nd vs Mercer County Community College in the Region 19 Championship Final (11am kickoff)
