Wolverines Edge Falcons

Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Women's Soccer earned a hard fought victory over the Falcons of Lackawanna College, on Saturday Oct. 5th by the score of 3-2. Ilana Lashley scored two goals to lead the Wolverines offense, while Diane Chouna chipped in with a goal. The offense hammered 14 shots on goal on the day, while the defense lead by Marie Telusma had five saves for the Wolverines. Perla Berroa chipped in with an assist, to round out the offensive attack for the day.

A back and forth first half, led the game to a 2-2 score at halftime. The Wolverines battled and create offensive chances during the second half, until Diane Chouna tucked home the game winner.

The Lady Wolverines (3-3-1) return to action Tuesday Oct. 8th, when they host Ocean County at home with a 4pm kickoff.
