Wolverines Fall At Union

Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Women's Basketball team fell to rivals Union College on Sat. Jan. 25th 107-54. Essex would go on to play hard and tough with their rivals, keeping the game close for much of the first half. Union however, a powerhouse in NJCAA DII would ultimately pull away. The Wolverines were led by Jakira Coar with 20 points and Katherinne Avecillas with 8 points.

Essex would go on to shoot 35.4% from the field for the game, while Union shot 36.9% from the field. Union would be the more proficient offense on the day and forced the visitors into tough shots with their suffocating defense.

Essex (4-10) now moves on to play Region 19 rivals Middlesex College on Tues. Jan. 28th at Middlesex, for a 5pm tipoff.
