Wolverines Drop Game Vs Middlesex

Newark, NJ - The Lady Wolverines dropped a close contest to Middlesex 64-53, falling to 2-4 on the season. Mia Marie Thomas and Basirat Amirashaun led the Wolverines with 16 points a piece, while Kayley Lynch grabbed 11 rebounds. The Wolverines led 30-25 at halftime, but timely defense by the visitors and the Wolverine offense going cold from the floor led to the downfall. After a solid shooting start to the game for the Wolverines, became their downfall in the fourth quarter when middlesex clamped down on open looks and forced some tough shots from the Wolveries.

The Wolverines forced their opponents to shoot only 36.5 % from the field for the game, but they themselves only shot 37%.

The Wolverines return to action Saturday December 7th at Mercer for a double header with the men's teams, starting at noon with women's game.
