Newark, NJ - The Lady Wolverines opened up their basketball season Thursday night at home vs Union College, losing 110-59. Union jumped out to a 32-10 first quarter lead, shooting lights out and creating turnovers with their press. The Wolverines continued to fight back, but trailed at halftime 57-21. The Lady Wolverines would continue to battle back before ultimately falling in the game and 0-1 to start the season.
Mia Marie Thomas led the Wolverines in scoring with 16 points, Kayley Lynch with 9 rebounds and Katherinne Avecillas with three assists. The Wolverines also shot 43% from the field for the game as well.
The Wolverines (0-1) return to action Saturday Nov. 9th @ Howard Community College noon tipoff.
