National Championships Await
Newark, NJ. - The Essex CC cross country team will return to the courses on Saturday, November 11th, for the 2023 NJCAA Men's & Women's Cross Country National Championships in Huntsville, Alabama.
The meet will be held at John Hunt Park and hosted by the Huntsville Visitors & Tourist Board. The race will feature the two Region 19 champions and Atlantic Region Athlete of the Year nominees, Simon Kemboi and Serena Douglas; they are both ranked nationally.
Two of the Wolverine's top finishers from the Region 19 meet two weeks ago will be returning to the line and are coming off personal best times: Romar Scott and Letlotlo Mohubedu.
"I look forward to our athletes doing well this weekend and using this to build on for the indoor season," states coach Lionel Leach. "They have performed well despite the weather conditions we have come across this season."
