Men's Cross Country Takes Region 19 Championship

The Essex County College Men's Cross Country Program took home the NJCAA Region 19 DI Championship on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines took home the first place finish with 28 points by the narrowest of margins, 1 total point to best Delaware Technical and CC. The difference: Essex's Orville Dixon. Dixon blew away the field, crossing the finish line first with a time of 27:25. The Wolverine's next best runner was O'Neil Williams, placing 7th with 31:15. With their performances on Saturday, Dixon and Williams were both named to the All-Region 19 First-Team.

With their first place finish, Essex will travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa on November 11th to compete in the NJCAA DI National Championship Meet.
