Wolverines Clipped Late by Falcons

Newark, NJ - The Wolverines opened up the second half of the season with a loss at Lackawanna College 76-72. Essex trailed by six at halftime and mustered up an efficient second half, score 37 points; led by Ricardo Gomez with 19 points and Jaidan Gilzene with 18 points. Lackawanna would come up with key stops defensively to lockdown the game for the win, ruining a terrific second half for the Wolverines. Johnathan Quiles II would chip in with 15 points as well on offense, while Gilzene added 15 rebounds.

The Wolverines would shoot 39.1% from the field for the game, while Lackawanna College would go on to shoot 36.8%.

Essex (3-13) plays host to Rockland Community College on Thursday Jan. 16th at 7pm, before playing away at Ulster County Community College Jan. 18th at 2pm.
