Wolverines Release 2024 Men's & Women's Soccer Schedule

Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Men's & Women's Soccer Team announced it's 2024 schedule on Tuesday August 6th. Men's soccer schedule will feature 15 regular season games this season and the Women's with 13 regular season games, with rivalry games against top Region 19 D2 opponents Mercer Community College and Lackawanna College. The Wolverines will also face Region 19 D1 foes; Harcum College. Last year, Mercer Community College ousted the Wolverines in the Region 19 playoffs; while the Women completed a sucessful season winning Region 19 playoffs. Men's Soccer will look to improve upon last year's record of 4-8-1 under first year Head Coach Pedro Sousa, who replaces now Assistant Athletic Director Tiago DosSantos. Women's Soccer will look to repeat as Champions and build off a sucessful season under Head Coach Monique Edouard. 

The Wolverines will also have some tough games against outside Region 19 opponents; like Berkeley College of NJ, Five Towns College, Nassau CC, CCBC Essex and Georgian Court JV. Men's Soccer will boast practically an entire new roster, with only five returners (Ahmed Roudane, Jaime Cobas, Angel Martin, Shakielle Beckless, and Geovanny Zeas; but an experienced squad looking to make noise in the Region this year. Women's soccer will feature key returners such as; Nisrine Taalba and Tiffany Escobar mixed in with a young and exciting crop of new players.

The 2024 season should be an exciting one for the Wolverines! Come out and support your Wolverines this season, as they host ALL Home Games at the brand new state of the art soccer field on the West Essex Campus in West Caldwell, New Jersey.
