Essex Wolverines competes at NJCAA XC Championships

Huntsville, Alabama - The Essex County College's cross country team ended their 2023 fall season after competing in the NJCAA DI National Championship at John Hunt Park in Huntsville Alabama yesterday.

The race featured four Wolverines; Serena Douglas, Simone Kemboi, Romar Scott, and Letlotlo Mohubedu. 

Women 5000m Div I

Serena Douglas - 99th Place

Time: 20:55.90

Men 8000m Div I

Simon Kemboi - 175th Place

Time: 30:49.50

Romar Scott - 181st Place

Time: 31:12.10

Letlotlo Mohubedu - 188th Place

Time: 33:31.10

Head Coach, Lionel Leach had this to say about the 2023 season. "What an amazing season we've had with the climax of reaching the national championships. I am very proud of these young men and woman and we will use this as a springboard to an exciting indoor track and field season."
