Wolverines Triumph Over Raritan Valley

Newark, NJ - The Wolverines of Essex County College picked up a huge Victory over Raritan Valley Community College in Men's Basketball on Thursday Feb. 8th, in crucial Region 19 Matchup. In the first half, both teams played well with Raritan Valley taking a 41-38 lead into the half. However, in the 2nd half Essex picked up the defensive intensity and making huge stops to limit the Raritan offense to only 34 points for the half. Koi Kirk Jr. powered the Wolverines to victory with 37 points on 14 of 24 shooting during 40 minutes of play and Shane Cedres chipped in 21 points with 5 assists and 5 steals. Emard babacap gave the Raritan team a tough battle throughout the game, dominating on the boards with 16 rebounds. Ultimately, the Wolverines would prevail 87-75 over Raritan to keep their playoff hopes alive!

The Wolverines return to action in their next game Saturday Feb. 10th in the Cleo Hill Physical Education Building, for a Region 19 Matchup with Delaware Tech for a 1pm tipoff.
